I know some of you have sent yourr 396's in for audio problems under warrenty. Have any of you had good results after the repair?

My 396 has had a defective Toko TK10565M audio amp from day one. I have had to run the internal speaker on only one side of the amp to eliminate the distortion. I need my receiver here and not at a repair facility. Is Uniden willing to send me a replacement amp? Or point me at a source where I can buy one?
