Im sending a 436 in for repair service,
just have a couple short Q's..

1..Sending via USPS Priority is OK?

2..What to include?
---Only the 436 in the box alone OK?
( I assume the techs have no use for
my Batts SD card or antenna)

436-in factory box,Shipped USPS Priority
w/Tracking..and the Repair Req. Form..
With $80.00 Pre-Payment

to..the ROANOKE TX address...

Good to go?

Don't ship in the original factory box. You probably would not get it back,

You could ship USPS, instead of FedEx or UPS, but be sure to use a USPS option that provides a valid tracking number.

Include only the scanner. No batteries, SD card, antenna (remove the SMA-BNC adapter as well), belt clip, and don't include the USB cable.

The repair request form & payment, sure. If the Request form does not adequately explain what you're sending it in for, then a short, clearly written, note might be in order.

I have shipped by both USPS and UPS. USPS Priority mail is probably the fastest. UPS is slow, takes 5 days from the East Coast. DO NOT send the original box, IT WILL NOT be returned or at least do not expect it to be returned. Bubble wrap well, include repair info with description of repair. If the unit is being sent in for the RTC clock battery, then you should use the campaign for this, Uniden will pay shipping both ways.

I have a unit it for repair and I am getting a bit worried that they are either backed up or something is up. My prior repair was posted with an email update within a few day of receiving the unit. Its been a week since my unit was receive and no word and no update checking online.
