Frankly, that's what Uniden should have been doing all along.The invoice says replacement. But the serial number is a lot higher. I think it’s a new one.
When a supposed repair on a 'still under warranty' scanner is done poorly, and either fixes nothing, or fails again almost immediately with the same issue, a replacement should get consideration. That should be virtually automatic ( a swap out) if it's the second time or higher a 'repair' did not get done properly.
