uniden scanner display illegal voltage

Which Uniden scanner? There are dozens of models in daily operation by readers of these forums.

From a quick look at his previous 2 posts, I believe he has a 396XT.
I have the simmilar 346 XT and have never seen that happen, however ive only had it for about 3 months. Are you using the charger that came with your scanner?

Wrong voltage input, needs 6 volts, use the search function on the site - RadioReference.com - Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Yes 396 model, bought new charger came with,,it,, sometimes it charges fine sometimes display illegal voltage,, maby need new charger

Voltage 396XT

Had the very same problem. Changed batt, new charger. Problem fixed.
This is after it went back to uniden three times without it being fixed. It was a intermitten problem.

Thanks advice,, im replace charger
