SDS100/SDS200: Uniden sds 100 gps help

Does any have any experience with this gps ? I bought one and am unable to get it to work with my sds 100 I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong any help would be appreciated

Self powered? I assume it has a battery then.
I guess the question is - why?

As to your problem. Check - is the red light on and blinking.
Is your radio set to 4800?

Yes self power, yes red light is blinking and yes 4800, I ordered it a while ago didn't really know anything about the gps I figured it had to be powered some how so I purchased a all in one unit , I'm just now trying to figure out how it all works , after watching numerous YT videos I possibly have it figured out
