Are you sure they did not mean $15.00 ? That seems much more within reason.

This is probably what the OP is looking at for a 4 county pre-programmed SD card from the dealer he named:

Other dealers are similar. Extremely exorbitant pricing for sure... considering how cheap the cards are these days, and the few minutes of labor that an experienced dealer would require for programming. Granted, there are some folks that wouldn't be able to use their scanner without such a service (or just aren't interested in doing it themselves for whatever reason), but it sure seems that they are being taken advantage of with that kind of pricing.

I can talk you through how to import the favorites list files into Sentinel and upload them into the scanner.

Your files are ready. First, I want you to open Sentinel. If you have any favorites lists showing in Sentinel, I want you to right click on each one and Remove from Favorites List.

Yep, it surely is. They say an image is worth a thousand words. If you'll notice it's making a backup of the SD card files for the scanner. That way all a person has to do is reformat the card with Etcher, SD Card Formatter or Rufus and drag and drop their files back onto the SD card and be back up and running within minutes. Backups do not only apply to computers, but to modern scanners as well.

Thanks for your help. It is good to know that there are still good people in this world. I contacted one of the members in my fire department and he came and had everything in working order in ten minutes. That is what a 19 year old can do.
