Hello I don't normally Post, but I own both the SDS200 & BCD436HP. I have them sitting side by side. The SDS200 is connected to a roof top AOR SA7000 ultra-wide range external receiving aerial antenna, freq. coverage 30kHz to 2 Ghz. The BCD436HP is using a portable WATSON Super Gainer W-881 antenna. Both scanners have the Identical progamming SD Cards.
Question: So why do I get twice the amount of hits on the 436 vs SDS200?
Doesn't make sense.

What happens if you swap antennas? Have you tried any of the filter settings available on the SDS200?

I usually have good luck using the Wide Invert filter. Are you sure the Site NAC's are correct? The 200 uses Site NAC while the 436 does not. You could be missing a site or two.

My guess: coax loss.

How long is the run? What type of coax and where did you buy it?
I would check this first personally. The length of the run, type and quality of cable and quality of connector installation are all factors here. By swapping the antennas between the scanners you see if the symptoms move with the swap. You could also try just using the stock telescoping antenna with the SDS200 to see if you get an improvement, similar to what the BCD436HP is experiencing. If you can rule out all those factors then look at the filtering settings in the SDS200. Good luck!

The only true way to compare radios reception (or lack of) is by using the same antenna via a multi-coupler (and same cable and length jumpers).

Antenna and coax aside, are the applicable service types turned on for the talkgroups you aren't hearing on the SDS200? (reference "tag" column in the RRDB) Screenshot shows you're held onto a talkgroup on the SDS200 but the 436HP is still scanning so, not much help. Also no reason to have the squelch turned down to 1 if the system isn't coming in weak. Per screenshot you have full signal. Set squelch to 2 on the SDS200 after making sure your service types are enabled

Whiskey, you were "Dead On". Lol, I had locked one of the service types and the fact that my squelch was set to 1. Thanks for pointing that out. Note to myself, "Look at the display!".
