Just curious. I have the serial cable for my BCD396T. Now, it I get an M to M null model adapter, will this connect my GPS to my 436? I have the Uniden GPS puck. I notice the GPS connection on the 436 seems to be the same as the data connector on my 396T. Thanks in advance!

Yes, that should work.

I believe the connections at the scanner are the same for the 436 and 396.

It has been a number of years since I used a GPS with my 396 T/XT in a vehicle. I "think" I may have needed a null modem adapter. Best thing to do is try the set-up without the null modem adapter and see what happens. If your scanner isn't detecting/receiving the GPS data, then the null modem adapter would be needed.

Cool. Thank you! Does it have to be the null modem adapter or can it just be the coupler?

Null modem / gender changer. I have some that
are both in a small (adds about 1/4") form factor.
(got them on eBay)
