So i picked up a sweet package deal from eBay a few weeks ago. Got a BC796D and a Twin Turbo both in really nice shape. Just wondering if this twin turbo is still good for anything?

Really depends on what you monitor or where you live as to if is still good for anything. If you live where trunking is used for public safety and that's what you want to monitor, then no it's not a good scanner.
