I'm programming in my 1st Trunking system using the UASD software. It is an LTR system. Does anyone know if the dashes are required in the ID field for each channel (i.e. should I enter 0-01-009 OR 001009 )? Also should the groups be organized and seperated by channel # or doesn't that matter?

It appears that you should use the "-" when doing the programming, at least I did and it works. As for how to organize them, there is no need to organize in any set method, just do it the way you listen.

Thanks. I have mine in without the dashes and that seems to work also but I'm still testing to be sure. Thanks

Good deal. Does the display on the scanner show the dashes? If so, when you save it back from the scanner to your file, does the file change? I am just curious.

I have an Alpha Tag in so it does not display the ID...BUT when it somehow stopped on one I had NOT programmed it displayed the ID as

ID: 0-04-046

I just entered some WITH the dashes to see if it works....AND they DO.
