Uniden updates??

Just wondering if anyone has heard what Uniden has in the planning stages for base scanners?

New models are announced about six months before release, so nothing new so far. The XT models were just completely release with the last one being the base/mobile BCT15X and the addition of the UID firmware updates for all of the XT models. I'll bet that took most of the resources just to get that finished this fall.

why would the need a new model. My 996XT is not even 6 months old.Noway I'm putting any updates in my scanner.
