When you pay for a DMR and/or NXDN upgrade on a Uniden scanner, will you be able to receive all modes of DMR and NXDN? (DMR Tiers 1, 2, and 3) Also dPMR? conventional and digital trunk modes? Nexedge? Just wondering what all falls under that upgrade umbrella...

All "flavors" of each digital format, trunked and conventional, are covered under its respective upgrade.

Also dPMR?

No. dPMR is its own digital format separate from DMR or NXDN.

Thanks, guys.

So it doesn't cover dPMR, is this an uncommon protocol? I guess I should do some research, haven't run across a dPMR system.

dPMR are used with small license free GMRS types of radios intended for simplex use. I've never encountered any but often hear normal DMR simplex radios being used on frequencies allowed for license free use where I live. I guess a Baofeng DMR radio costs less than a dPMR radio.
