Just went to Uniden site and saw same thing "App release coming" for 536HP. That's hopeful news.

The only thing I see is that they are now accurately saying the app - which they mention in the product description - doesn't exist but is "coming" (vs. saying it will be available 1Q 2014).

On the other hand PROSCAN said a version would be available by end of MAY for the 536HP and it is out now.

Maybe Uniden could contact the fine folks who make the GoPro Hero 3 action camera for some pointers. They have an app that controls the camera via Wi-Fi that works flawlessly. It will even show what the camera is seeing. Can't go wrong with that.

Now before y'all pile on, I know that the 536HP is a much more sophisticated piece of equipment and the app protocols are probably a lot more complicated and that's why they're running into problems. Just saying that a remote control app can be done.
