Unidentified Abandoned Site?

Dunno if anyone read this document, but I think it does shed some light on this transmitter site, although, I wonder if is the same place. I don't see any common towers or buildings in the photos. Thanks for posting it, however, as I enjoyed reading it anyway!

Voice of Vietnam - HQ in Hanoi

Hi Electricman,

No problems.

For you; I have today located the Voice of Vietnam HQ studio in Hanoi on Google Earth.
You can find it here: 21 01 37N 105 50 44E

Before visiting, perhaps if you have a SW radio you could familiarise yourself with some announcers/programs of the external English service of Voice of Vietnam. Perhaps email them & say you enjoy the programs. Just prior to getting to the studio/HQ in Hanoi you will be in a position to relate to the announcers & they may then know you. Then upon arriving outside the Hanoi VOV HQ when requesting access to the studio it might be easier for you to gain a tour & maybe you could ask questions relating to coordinates/locations of their MW & SW transmitter sites etc or pics of sites or whatever interests you. Have a prepared story. Obviously they will be more interested in you & your thoughts on their programs though. Good luck.

When I make it to Hanoi, I will look for those sites, if they are not too far away, and time allows I will try to find those sites.

Cambodian HF Site

Yes thanks very much for the document. Using this doc & some private photos I have of the Voice of Cambodia former SW Steung Meanchey site I think we have two separate radio tx sites here. There were curtain arrays at the Steung Meanchey site in year 2000, but these appear to have gone & maybe only two vertical SW antennas remain.

Electricman's site looks different to that of Steung Meanchey. I would suggest one antenna is LW, unsure about the rest. A pity location is unknown.

The Station of VOH is far away and located in District 9 as you known.

Vietnam Radio Stations on FM, mediumwave and shortwave

Hey you're right. Funny how a signal can sound better a little frequency off with AM.
6175 is the correct freq. , coming out of Sackville Canada.
And the signal report should be S9.
What a strange broadcast. How they love Ho Chi Minh.
