I had email from another member wondering about 467.8125MHz at 82.5PL in City of San Luis Obispo. I attempted to listen on that frequency, but yet to hear anything.

460.5500MHz at 123.0PL with FCC license of WNMA365 located in Cambria. I have yet to confirm what is on it. I saw some old data that is or use to be San Luis Obispo Sheriff Cambria multicast for blue channel.

Southern Gas Company with various FCC Licenses and various frequencies in the 450MHz, 939MHz, and 159MHz in San Luis Obispo County. Pacific Gas and Electric has more than Southern Gas and i was only able to identified and submited only 2 frequencies that I could identified. Anyone know whats what on them?

Monarch Dunes Golf Club in Nipomo on 152.45MHz, 152.96MHz, 157.71MHz, and 159.63MHz with FCC license of WQEG455 .

453.0500MHz with FCC license of WNDZ931 located in Guadalupe.

Anyone know any unidentified radio transmission or unidentified FCC licenses in the two counties?

460.550 was indeed multicast for 460.150 (Blue) sheriff. Since they've installed a low-level simulcast 460.150 transmitter in Cambria, the 460.550 frequency is unused at this time as far as I know.

467.8125 is a low power business channel in wide use all over the place. Cal Poly uses it, and I think Linens and Things used it in SLO (when they were still around). It's a "dot" frequency commonly found in low power business handhelds.

I have an old listing showing 453.050 as a public works channel for Guadalupe, but I haven't verified traffic on it, so it hasn't been submitted to the database.

The PG&E frequencies in the database seem fairly accurate. There are many licenses for PG&E locally that are not in use.

SoCalGas has been extremely difficult to figure out, and I've never really determined what all of their stuff is. They do have licenses all over the spectrum.

No wonder I didn't hear 467.8125. I didn't go near Cal Poly when I was searching for frequencies.

I have heard alot of SoCalGas, but still yet to know what each channel is used for.

SLOSO's radio used to be divided by NORTH and SOUTH. NORTH (that was the radio's actual display) was 460.15 and covered Atascadero, Santa Margarita, Templeton, Paso, San Miguel, Whitley Gardens, Shandon, Creston. From what I recall, 460.55 SOUTH was used every where else. I recall having to manually switch channels from SOUTH to NORTH when driving up the Grade.

They always were BLUE and all traffic was broadcast county-wide. But one was north repeaters and the other south.

Here's my recollection:

In the "old" days (20 years ago or so), Blue was county-wide. There were issues with the simulcast in the City of SLO area, so 460.550 was added on Cuesta peak as a multicast transmitter. They called it Central. Later, they added another transmitter on 460.550 in Cambria on Lodge Hill, as coverage in downtown Cambria from Rocky Butte was spotty. Eventually, the simulcast issues in SLO were fixed, and they removed 460.550 from Cuesta Peak. And most recently, a Blue transmitter was added to Lodge Hill in Cambria, eliminating the need for the 460.550 transmitter. So now we're back to Blue being county-wide, but with better coverage.

I noticed KZT394 near Carpinteria using frequencies 460.175 and 465.175. But nothing logged to say what the frequency is exactly used for.

I'm guessing they don't use 465.175 or 460.175 in northern Santa Barbara due to interfernce in San Luis Obispo.

Any one close enough to it to listen?

460.175 / 82.5 is the "SOUTH" tac for the SBSO who has the contract to police Carpinteria City. Since the repeater is on Rincon Mountain at barely over 2000 ft. (it's actually in Ventura County just across the VTA/SBA border and close to the ocean,) it doesn't interfere with Grover Beach PD's use of it even though they also use the same PL. You are correct that it isn't used, with rare exception, in the north side (north of the Santa Ynez Mountain range) of SB County.

The ConocoPhillips frequencies are quite interesting.

I picked up 462.250MHz at 174 DPL hearing workers talking about valves and general talk.

I picked up 451.900MHz at unknown PL/DPL hearing workers. This sounds like refueling of gasoline tankers. I heard them talk about AMPM, trucks, and heard one supervisor told a worker to go pick up tickets. Also heard a unit code known as "Mobile 6".

PGE or SoCalGas?
153.5600Mhz hearing alot talk about (gas) "meters", "leak orders", talks of a customer's range stove, and giving work orders to workers from Nipomo to Santa Maria. 153.545MHz hearing very similiar radio traffic, but slightly weaker signal and similair radio chatter. Before each transmission I hear two tones.

AAA
810.3375MHz and 855.3375MHz at unknown DPL/PL sounds like data/telemetry or maybe digital radio transmissions. I hear abnormal/data noises shortly after hearing CHP requesting tow truck.

Check for 467.8125 with a digital PL in SLO.

In SLO and South County AAA (College Towing) uses a UHF LTR system for dispatching and the like.

In Santa Maria AAA (Santa Maria Towing) uses an MDT in their trucks which are also equipped with MCS2000s. The radios are not used unless the unit is in the LA area for a myriad of reasons (I recall at least 3 but I asked several years ago).

I'm waiting for them to use them....I have yet to hear anything.

City of Grover Beach (KNJX298) has a pending additional FCC license. Not sure if they plans on upgrading their radios and/or adding more antennas.
