I did the same thing. Went back to 1.10. I had to reinstall the updater program that I uninstalled first and then choose the old 1.10 .scn file from my folder. I have both installers on my hard drive (the old one and the new version) in separate folders now and they both work ok being in there.
I have two 396XT's and put the new firmware in one and it was terrible on my local P25 system. Compared side to side with the same antenna on each and it was day and night. It must only improve a certain type system. But on the Ct. State Police digital system, I was very happy with the improvements that the last update before this one made.

I think you are right, that was the gist of the update. I don't think it had any effect on me. I don't think it was meant to change anything for systems that use P25 voice, just actual P25 LSM. Even fiddling with the hidden adjustments I have to go quite far out on the settings to hear any degradation in voice quality.

Same here

I will be doing the same thing.
I have never had more motorboating, buzzing, etc.. since I did the 1.11.01 upgrade last night.
I experience this on the Connecticut CSP system.
I will re-install 1.10 tonight....

Yes it totally messed mine up too. I did re-set the P25 settings to default which appeared to help some. I have been looking for my backup copy of the old version but not found yet (I know I saved it). Are there any links up yet for the 1.10 version? Sorry I found the file link TY

I also fell back to the 1.10 firmware and its back to normal.
Not sure why, but 1.11.01 was not good for me here in central CT on the CSP system.
It was pretty much not usable. My ride into work was about 75% motor-boating and control channel noise.
1.10 is much better...
Best of Luck...

If I do this-

Update--Update Firmware
Update --Update master HPDB
Homepatrol--Write to Home Patrol

Does this put the new update about the simulcast system, in my Home Patrol?

I do not want the up date about simulcast systems.
I only want to update the frequencies.

Thanks

Yes it will.

If you don't want the firmware update, don't update the firmware.

The "firmware update" from the menu will, as part of it's process, write it to the Home Patrol without you having to do it.

Writing just a database update will not update the firmware.

If you already have firmware version 2.04.01 in your Home Patrol as you stated in your other post, you have already updated your firmware to the latest release.

Hi Bee,

Yes, if you perform the first step in your list, you will apply the firmware update about simulcast systems. If you don't want that update, don't perform the first step. Updating the master HPDB (HomePatrol DataBase) will only update the frequencies. So, if you want to update the frequencies, but not apply the firmware update, only perform the last two steps in your list and you will get the results you're looking for...

I was mistaken. I do not have 2.04.01 in my HomePatrol. Sorry my mistake. I have 2.02 (revision 04).

If I install 2.04.01, then that would put the new update, about the simulcast systems in my Home Parol.

Is that all that 2.04.01 does?

I understand NOW. I think.------ Do not updating the firmware, if i dont want the update about the simulcast systems.

Thanks

2.02 (revision 04) sounds like your Sentinel Software version number, not your Home Patrol firmware version.

From your Home Patrol screen, touch Menu ---> Advanced Menu ---> (scroll down) ---> Version Information..

What does it say there for the firmware version?

How do I get the older firmware?

I updated my firmware to 1.11 and with all the trouble that I am hearing about, I want to go back to 1.10. How do I get that firmware? Where do I find it. The 1.11 is the only update that I have ever done.
