Went to Baton Rouge this morning to pick up a new suit and take a friend to Baton Rouge/Ryan Airport and was there just about 15-20 minutes before AF-1 arrived. Didn't know he was speaking at lsu [Ole Miss version] until my friend told me he was coming. I expected to be stopped and questioned/searched at airport. Nothing, was not. Though listening on both BRPD TRUNKED freqs and LSP TRUNKED freqs, all I observed was BRPD officers on every overpass and at every intersection. I don't think I saw the LSP anywhere.
I did hear them on non-trunked LSP Tac 1. 866.5125.
The thing that still amazes me is that I drove up to the front/American Airlines door and saw no uniforms whatsoever; was not stopped, searched or questioned and only saw maybe one Secret Service agent. Nothing at all like the security I saw when I attended his father giving the commencement address at Alcorn when I was a state senator.
