Hi Everyone:

I can't seem to find Union College in Schenectady on the RR database. Am I missing something? I know that I used to listen to them. I live less than a mile away from campus. If I remember correctly they were on the same frequency once upon a time as Rotterdam Square Mall Security (I can't find that in the database either). Am I missing something? I just got a homepatrol and am getting back into scanning. Thanks!

Thanks for jogging my memory! I also remembered using antennasearch.com. That is a cool site. It's all coming back to me.

Thanks for the reply Mark. That's one of the frequencies I programmed in shortly before you responded and I've been hearing campus security on it.

For anyone that might be interested, Union College is now DMR, at least on 451.825.

Stands for Digital Mobile Radio. Basically, they've "gone digital". Unfortunately due to my lack of any real knowledge or understanding I can't explain it much beyond that hahahaha.

Unless you received a new digital scanner from Santa you will not be able to pick us up. Once you activate digital mode or both you should be all set. Frequency is the same.

Hi Mike, why changing? Is it really necessary? Don't get me wrong haha I hate when things change to digital because is hard for me to listen, and I always imagine an evil company like Motorola convincing the owners to buy their expensive systems and radios.i guess you're a good guy to answer that
