Union County is finally starting to make greater use of MARCS, despite the continually bad VHF-800MHz patch quality; mobile radios were recently installed in almost all fire/police vehicles. It sounds like Marysville PD is completely switched (not even a patch, as far as I can tell), and Union County S.O. just announced that they will switch to MARCS radios at 1pm today (Wednesday). I don't know if they'll keep the patch up or not (I don't see any reason not to).

So I guess the plan is to go all the way to 800MHz so they don't have to worry about the patch quality.

Okay:
As announced, at 1pm today (Wednesday), Union County Sheriff switched over to MARCS completely.

To answer the question in my previous post, the VHF patch is now down. County fire still has their 3 channels patched over.
