Hey everyone,

I got to thinking about something today.... Union County uses 1 Fire Dispatch Frequency which is 154.22000. Now, there are 3 or 4 VFD's in the area that take calls from that frequency (or at least I'm assuming). Is there any possible way that I can set a radio or pager to only alert when a certain station receives a call? Would there be another Freq I need or do I need to just listen what station is getting the call from dispatch?

You would need to program the departments tones into the pager or scanner. The squelch will open only when receiving the department or units specific tone. Here is a site which explains this in detail.

Hardware:Tone Out - WPASCANNER

Thanks! Its weird because most of the VFD's in Union all have the same PL tones of 103.5. Another thing is that Stallings isn't on the list....?

All Union County Dispatches of the following:

154.220 Mhz all county fire department

154.085 Mhz county fire II

154.415 Mhz county fire III

154.280 Mhz state fire

155.400 Mhz Ems units

453.125 Mhz Monroe Fire

All these frequencies are cross-patched to an 800 Mhz Tac channel which is digital.

Most of the county fire departments have private channels as well.

Union County uses Quick Call II A-series tones.
