This is a total different county we're talking aboutDid we not establish in the Northumberland thread you posted a few weeks ago that they have a multi-site simulcast system?

You literally just brought it up, 3 posts ago.I hope they at least put more than one tower up instead of doing like they did in Northumberland County from the map it looked like just one tower smacked right in the center of sunbury but I could be wrong
I understand I brought it up but I was saying how it looks like only one tower holding all frequencies for the tower sorry if I am not understanding very well the radio reference map when I look at it makes it look like the tower subury is the only one holding all the frequenciesYou literally just brought it up, 3 posts ago.
suggestion: keep your threads separated. You already have a Northumberland thread. Yes, Northumberland is a simulcast system where all towers are transmitting the same frequencies at the same time.I understand I brought it up but I was saying how it looks like only one tower holding all frequencies for the tower sorry if I am not understanding very well the radio reference map when I look at it makes it look like the tower subury is the only one holding all the frequencies
I understand I just was referencing Northumberland didn't think it would cause a problem referencing itsuggestion: keep your threads separated. You already have a Northumberland thread. There is something brewing with Central Susquehanna Regional 911. A digital system in the works?Saw an article this week in the local Union County times that Mifflinburg got a grant to upgrade police dept. equipment including P25 compatible radios. That would end it for me unless a crackhead deal came along.
Keep an eye out for possible future encryption, I don't know what "Something Brewing" means but it could be talk on the street from news photogs and reporters along with conversation with police and firefighters...There is something brewing with Central Susquehanna Regional 911. Same with Warrior Run area fire department applying for grants for digital radiosThere is something brewing with Central Susquehanna Regional 911. A digital system in the works?
Yep, not exactly my area but I am in Pennsylvania on the East End and all our counties now are encrypted, going digital or going Phase 2 pretty much is writing on the wall, not aware of any inside information for you, sorry.Same with Warrior Run area fire department applying for grants for digital radios
You guys'll be the first to know if I do.Yep, not exactly my area but I am in Pennsylvania on the East End and all our counties now are encrypted, going digital or going Phase 2 pretty much is writing on the wall, not aware of any inside information for you, sorry.
Let us know what you find out.
For the Pennsylvania State trunked system they are the only vendor, not for the counties that have their own systems!Well Keystone is the one who handles Snyder, Union, Norry, and others. Capital is just another shop near Harrisburg. They’re all capable of doing P25 installed but they’re not there yet.
You obviously don't understand how radio design works, when you design and build a system, you don't design for out of County coverage, you design for in County coverage, you make it work for the units in County, they don't build it, because some newb wants his pager to go off 3 counties away.I understand that I'm just saying i think it would be great to put a tower between union and Snyder and have union and Snyder both on it to cover more area
Well, if we are speaking frankly, many counties share tower sites on or near county lines to increase coverage for both. Has nothing to do with pagers going off but field user coverage. You obviously don't understand how radio design works, when you design and build a system, you don't design for out of County coverage, you design for in County coverage, you make it work for the units in County, they don't build it, because some newb wants his pager to go off 3 counties away.
Warrior Run is probably looking to get more radios, they are already in Northumberland County and should already have P-25 radios!Same with Warrior Run area fire department applying for grants for digital radios
Right, but in his one post he said his pager doesn't activate outside of Snyder County, technically its not supposed to.Well, if we are speaking frankly, many counties share tower sites on or near county lines to increase coverage for both. There’s a lot he said that doesn’t make sense so…Right, but in his one post he said his pager doesn't activate outside of Snyder County, technically its not supposed to.
