Is there a limit on how many Unit ID names you can have on a SDS. Building a spreadsheet matching UID #'s to UID names.

Go to My Document folder on your PC and to the Uniden/BCDx36HP folder and to FavoriteLists.
Open the f_list.cfg file with Notepad or any text file reader. There you will see one line with your favorite list name followed by f_0000xxxx.hpd
That is the file name in the same folder for your favorite list and check the size of it.

If you use something like a 16 character UID name it will take up 5kB for one hundred UID's. The hpd file are a plain text file so if you have 26 character UID names it will be a 10x100=1kB bigger file. 1000kB are the maximum file size.

I've got a statewide TRS (Minnesota) loaded and also has 2,000 Unit IDs. Its file size is 561KB, or just about half the maximum allowable.

How do you enter all those UID's? Is it a manual process or can the data be imported from somewhere?

I use Butel’s ARC536PO software to be able to copy/paste channels, departments or UIDs. Works great.
Are radio ID's avalailable in the database? Sentinel accomplishes the goal to add UID's (radio ID's) just fine.

RRDB, no. Some county wikis document them
Yes, know about them, just thought it was now in the database the way it was posted. Some time ago, I remember a discussion about including it in the database, thinking it was happening in some places.
