Saw your post in the Scanning Lounge....are you talking about Lex adding a site to the Fire/EMS EDACS system? If so please let me know when you get the updated info so I can add it to the RR.com database...Thank you sir!

it sounds as if they are adding some freqs to the system and at least one new site.... with possibly a "site 1" and "site 2" set-up, with the freqs from one not completely in the lcn for the other.... apparently they are waiting for the fcc to give their blessing that there is no interference.... file number 0002074584 it is at this url (if it will load for you) http://dettifoss.fcc.gov/acweb/dettifoss/Genmen_a/db_19/d_admin_p_lm.roi;156?ViewDefault......

gonna be really interesting in the near future depending upon how the system is configured....

Yeah...we might have some work cut out for...lucky for us I think between us we have enough radios to figure this out I will keep ya updated with what I find out...

cool.... the detective work on the bgad system helped a lot.... but this one could be a bear especially if they add agencies (there are still more on conventional systems in fayette county)..... when i get more info i will pass it along....

For years, the Lexington FD has had 5 frequencies assigned, but never used. These are 856.4375 thru 860.4375. They did use the 856.9375-860.9375 group when they merged into the existing UK system over 5 years ago. Have you noticed that the frequencies they want to add are UNDER 860 mHz? From my understanding, all frequencies above 860 mHz will have to be dropped in a re-alignment of trunked frequencies to cut interference problems. So, if this is correct, they will have to drop 860.9375 and 860.2625 from their current system and will be adding 856.4375, 857.4375 and 858.4375 to the system to replace the frequencies that will be lost in the re-alignment.

This is all a hunch, but does it make sense?

it sure does make sense.. and that is part of the problem they had with the "new" system i believe.... but they also wanted to expand coverage aloong the river....
