I setup my line in audio levels right for decoding, i tested it with uniscope and tryed it out on an edacs96 system , but the problem is i cant seem to get UniTrunker to see the APCO25 Moto system im trying to decode , ive tryed adjusting line in for different levels to see if maybe it was too loud or to low but still nothing , when listening to the APCO25 control channel it comes in clear, i dont hear any interference or static so im pretty sure im getting a good signal. i just dont know what else to do, if anybody has any thoughts on this or if there's something maybe i didnt do please let me know. Help greatly appreciated... Thadoood *update* at some point unitrunker picked up the system for like 30 seconds and i didnt know it , can any one give me some screen shots of where the audio levels should be adjusted for good decode of APCO25 control channels ? ive read the level up doc i dont know how many times. thanks :D

I tryed to adjust the sound levels to match my uniscope with the uniscope pictures using those settings , i got it pretty close but still nothing , it briefly picked up the system today but for less than a minute , and i dont know exactly what i did to get unitrunker to see the control channel. i know im getting a clear signal of the control channel , everything is connected right, but for some reason unitrunker wont pick it up. very aggrivating

You might want to try one of the last dos version. In my area, knowing about having the weak signal, and great fall season, I can get 40 to 85 on the dos version while on the windows 1.0.5 it only reads about 10% of the same signal.

The system is C4FM. Unitrunker does not work well with this format. The C4FM issue is a work in progress.

However, if you have a PSR500 or PSR600, you can get good decoding results. Here's what I found late Sunday evening from the corner of Avenue K and Highway 35.

Ok Great, good work UniTrunker , but i still dont understand what would make the PSR-500 or PSR-600 any better for Decoding the site with unitrunker rather than a simple BCXL-50 or a Pro-97 or something what does the PSR-500 and 600 have that get good decoding results from the site ???

It's simple. To use a radio like the PRO-97, you have to tap the radio's FM discriminator to get at the signal. With the PSR-500/600 models (and soon the BCD396XT), the radio demodulates the waveform into data and provides it over the serial cable. No discriminator tap and associated signal progressing is required. Until I find time to correct this issue with processing C4FM waveforms via sound input, folks using a discriminator tapped radio to monitor these signals are going to get crappy results.
