Still not 100% when it comes to using Unitrunker and
SDR# (Sharp).

Using Unitrunker as Standalone.

Right now I have 2 SDR Dongles that I'm using for NJSP.
SDR #1 is setup as the Signal Decoder.
I have 4 VCO's but I am only using 1 so far. It is
parked on 860.9375 (The control channel)

SDR#2 is setup as voice.
There are 3 VCO's setup (by default).

Should I be using all 3 VCO's or just 1?
I'm getting activity on all 3 but sometimes they
are active at the same time and you can't understand
what's going on because of the amount of chatter
from 3 VCO's.

Question #2. What benefit do I get when using Unitrunker
with SDR Sharp? It's very confusing to me to use 2 different
programs, needing 2 or 3 plugins, along with DSD+ and Com0Com.
Especially when I can follow trunking with using Unitrunker alone
Am I missing something?

Just one. If you want to record audio - additional VCOs are useful.

In 2012, the only way to pair Unitrunker with an SDR was through some SDR program like SDR#, HDSDR, SDRConsole etc. Today, these SDR programs are still useful for SDR devices not directly supported by Unitrunker.

Look into virtual audio cables and trunking recorder to leverage multiple audio feeds simultaneously.

Record everything and manage playback through a web browser by talkgroup or radio id.
