The setup seams to be having problems correctly following transmissions. Is anyone getting an Opto Board to work with UniTrunker? Seams to be missing replies or having a tuning lag.
These vintage RS models with the Opto add-on board(s) are somewhat rare these days. The command set is basically CI/V. The CI/V protocol allows controlling multiple receivers from a single serial port. However, Unitrunker does not support this (and I've yet heard someone to ask).
You'll want to verify the baud rate, data bits, stop bits, and CI/V address. For this model - the data bits are fixed at 8; the stop bits fixed at 1; no parity bits.
Commtronics recommends a data rate of 9600 baud. Check the SW2 toggle settings to verify your radio's baud rate selection and configure Unitrunker receiver settings accordingly.
Use the default CI/V address of (hex) 80 by setting all four SW1 toggles to "OFF". All CI/V commands are prefixed with this address. If you radio is configured for a different address, it will ignore the commands from Unitrunker.
