Hello,

I have exported data successfully using Unitrunker V2's export feature, however that will only export lists of Users / Talkgroups / Frequencies etc.

I need to export User and group history and have had to try and highlight them then use Ctrl + C then ctrl + V to copy and paste into notepad.. While this works often it fails if there is any real number of rows selected AND it turns out has deleted rows of data from those files.

Unfortunately I did not backup the 12,000 files that lists all the user and group activity.

So BACKUP before you do any edits even if it shouldn't delete from the program.

Since the files are easy to find for each group and user I decided to have a look at them.. Unfortunately they are not using a easy to parse format.

If the developer isnt willing to release a program to allow these files to be loaded and exported to CSV/Excel etc then I will have a crack at it..

Luckily I have exports of all the daily logs on hand and run other software including SDRTrunk and OP25 so I may be able to rebuild some logs for the system.

I am greatly annoyed at losing this data from a copy and paste operation.. NO popups to say do you want to save changes etc... No warnings at all... just missing lines when i went back to copy/paste more lines...

Oz.

Hello Ozzychaser;

My apologies that the documentation did not lead you to this page:

I need to add some links so it is easier to find.

Cheers mate, yeah I have a script or two that i released on here that runs via task scheduler so it automatically pulls the files daily using the excavate utility on the system that runs 24/7 :)..

Looking at the daily logs, it appears all the data is available there so if my database pulls each join, login, grant, logouts etc, from the daily logs it should contain the missing data anyway..

Thread with script info.
