I have unitrunker set up with two SDRs, trying to listen to mass state police in the eastern part of the state which runs motorola smartzone analog in the 800mhz range. I have the signal VFO which appears to be working but the voice vfo is staying parked and not producing any audio. I have attached screenshots of the set up, hoping someone can see what I am doing wrong.

it looks like the second SDR is not running. Some of the traffic channels are out of range for the first SDR.

Mostly like will need a second dongle to cover the entire bandwidth. I suspect voice calls are falling outside the bandwidth of the dongle.
A good rule of thumb - usable bandwidth is 0.8 x sample rate. In your case, about 1.92 Mhz. This is why most of use utilize multiple dongles and/or a more expensive sdr like Airspy or SDRPlay (not supported) to cover the entire bandwidth.

thanks...so this means i really need a third sdr right? I am currently using two, my understanding is one of them operates as the signal vfo and the other as the voice.

Not necessarily. You just need to make sure that your second SDR is available.

On the second dongle, do you have 1+ vco's? Is the second dongle playing? Please share screen shot of the second dongle. Thanks

The second SDR shows "Stopped" in your screenshots. It should be "Running".

it looks like in the VFO tab each dongle is being treated as a separate system as opposed to one dongle being for signal and one being for voice?
