UniTrunker with BCD396XT as voice problem

Anybody on this list using a BCD396XT as the voice following radio with Unitrunker VER 20 or any version ?
I am not having any luck with a 396XT.
I have successfully used a BCD996T, but selecting a 396XT (and or a BCD996XT) as Control Type and the same cable,
baud rate (verified), 8N1 Data bits, com port, the scanner is not connecting

Attempting to use the 396XT as a voice unit.
I also have a BCD996XT and it works as a voice unit even with the Model selected as BCD396XT.
Same cable connected to same USB connector.
So evidently the XTs use the same commands.
The 396XT is able to be programmed with ARC and Freescan software so I would think that rules out the
396XT jack.
Changing the cable from the 396XT to the 996XT, the display on the 996XT changes to
"Hold Quick Search" and follows the traffic perfectly. The display on the 396XT never changes for scanning.

Where is the log file and what is its name ?

Click the folder icon. The tuner log for today is named Tuner-20110214.log

I see no log file in Program Files/UniTrunker or in my Users/Clark/AppData/Roaming/Unitrunker folders.
The "Logging" box has a X in the Control Receiver options.

I did as you suggested but still no tuner log. I did find the daily history log. Did a complete search of
machine for Tuner .log, It's not being created even on a different (996XT) and working fine receiver.
