Unitrunker

I don't have any experience with unitrunker but do have experience with TrunkPCR if that will help.

I have the latest version of TRUNKPCR. Thanks to Jay Bray (crazycalifornian) I am opened up to a totally different world.
I just like to experiment with different programs.

Thanks,

Well I have a host of questions.
How do you set it up and how do you get it to run?
I know that is alot to ask.
Thanks,

well, i plugged the disc out from the pcr1000 into the audio input on the sound card. tuned the pcr1000 to a control channel, and opened the volume control module, selected the 'recorder'options, and checked to see that the level indicator was showing the presence of the control channel signal.

started the unitrunker application, and followed the instructions in the readme file. unitrunker started showing the various frequencies and talkgroups being received.

the present beta version of unitrunker does not yet allow unitrunker to tune the pcr1000 to hear the audio channels.

i do not have unitrunker on this computer, so i can't give more detailed instructions. perhaps i can give more help tomorrow.

My only other question is that I have to set my screen resolution higher that 800x600. Is there anyway to set unitrunker to 800x600?

Thanks,

Seems to run OK for me at 800x600 resolution. Only problem I have is that there is no scrollbar on the "View Talk Groups" page. When the page fills up, you lose tha bottom of the list.

Use the up / down arrow keys and PgUp / PgDn keys to scroll.

when I run the program at 600x800 the screen jumps back and fourth and makes viewing impossible. This maybe caused the program iis trying to show data out to the extreme right of the screen.
Running at 600x800 is just easier for me to see.

Don't run this in "full screen" mode. You can change the font so that the overall window fits your display resolution.
