i have been trying to get unitrunker to work on my laptop but not having any luck.
i have tried the sound card option and still no luck. yes the computer is hearing the data chanel.
i am runing windos xp sp3 version and the laptop is a acer aspire one
i have look and read the forums and nothing has help does trunker run with just the sound card or do
i have to have a data slicer. i would like some one to help me out. if possible

Probably is not your computer.
What kind of scanner?
Are you using a discriminator tap or just the standard audio? If you are not tapped and the scanner you have does not have a data output mode the signal from the audio is not clean enough to work.

Do you have the pc/inf cable?

That what I used and it took me about 3-4 hours of tinkering around before I got it to work...

sms2003, I guess this scanner model must send the data stream out the pc/inf port, if it worked for you? Or did you do some kind of modification?

walld13, My first choice would be the data cable like sms2003, it you indeed have that option. Otherwise look at your signal using the 'Scope' tab on the 'Receiver' screen in unitrunker and see what it looks like. Then please let us know what you found.

The image attached below is a visual confirmation of what Rolfman said.
Note that in both cases I can listen to the FSK audio using headphones and they sound pretty much identical to my ears, but the bandwidth is much different.

The pc/inf cable is just what I used for my Pro 106. I havnt ever tried using the headphone port. Id give the pc/inf a try.
