Need some help with uni trunker. Got a tap on a bct8. I know the pat works because it was tested after it was installed.
But now that im home and try it on my computer and 2 laptops. Nothign happens.
What do i have to do to th eonboard soundcards, unitracker and the radio if anythign to make it track rite?

Run the UniScope program so that you can verify that a signal is making into your computer - and also to verify the correct sound input. Once you see a signal, you may need to adjust the signal level. Most mixer controls (and this varies from one driver to the next) provide some sort of recording volume control. Adjust that so that you see a good deflection of the signal vertically without exceeding (clipping) the vertical limits. If the peaks are flat, you're clipping and you'll need to reduce the signal level.

Once you can see a decent signal, configure UniTrunker to match the UniScope settings for signal source.

Did that. It does show the wave bouncing around and when i take the wire out of the radio it stops moving. But it does this on the "default" sound setting and the "Realtek HD Audio" option. I have onboard sound on this computer. On the laptop does "default" and "mic in high def audio"

How do i adjust the signal? Is that in the audio setting for the min in line? Adjust the volume up and down untill the uniscope has small waves? Or larger ones?

Okie doke an update now to my last post. I opened up Etrunker 32 and it will get up to 70% ACC on the lambton 857.0625 CC but nothing for edacs cc and fleetnet

Ok. No worries. I hooked everything up in the car and unitrunker and trunker work just fine. Must be all this junk in the house not getting a signal.
But that was on a windows 2000 laptop. Tried it on my vista laptop and wouldnt work. Same setting and all both programs nothing came up.
Fixed my own problem. Time few a new base antenna

So iv been trying to edit the site tab. And every time i try to add one it and save. It never works
For fleetnet zone 1 site 16 is chatham kent. So i try to put this in
Lable: Chatham Kent
Site: 16
Listen: Yes
Lockout: No
Notes:

Am i doin something wrong here? Or.. Does that part just not work to well.
Tried the same for site 31 Sarnia. They dont want to save GAARRRRR

This was a bug in an earlier release. Make sure you have the current one. To edit the site label you can do something like this (and you probably are) ...

[F]ind -> Ste ... type in the site number and press return. Tab over to the Label ... fill out the site's name. Type [Alt] to save.

Another question.
Im trying to add a few edacs systems into the SYS tab. But a few of them the site number is 1.
How do i add more then one site number being only 1?
I tried to do 001, and 1, each being a different edacs system but it renames them both for what ever name i put in as site 1.
Is this what the Delegate field is for?

EDACS is tricky. There is no system ID so the site ID is used as a system ID. You may see neighbor sites listed. They are displayed but not used. If you actually tune to one of the neighbor sites - it will be assigned it's own system.

The delegate feature is for linking systems together to share the same set of group and radio IDs. Because of how EDACS site numbers are handled, you can use this to link EDACS sites.

If you have two completely unrelelated EDACS Site 01's ... you'll have to create separate folders and run separate copies of Unitrunker against these different folders - and keep track of which to use when monitoring the appropriate control channel.

Ahh. Thats a downfall. WIll be taking a little drive this week and going to be going past about 5 different edacs systems. All with site 1's.
WIll every talk group for each system all go into one?
Or... is it to.. messed up to try and explain in text haha

That is exactly right. There are several Site 01's in the DFW area that present this same issue.

Iv had this little problem for about a week. Not sur eif its a setting problem or what...
Im getting half the display on unitrunker. I can see the:
Pr, Destination Party, ID, T. But i cant see the CT, Calling Party and ID...
Not sure why.. Anyone els have this problem or had it?

Are you running the program in a window or in full screen mode?

If the program appears inside a window - click on the top-left corner. A menu will appear. Select "Properties". A dialog will appear. From that dialog make your adjustments. Selecting the "Font" tab and choosing a slightly smaller font might allow the full width of the program to fit inside the window.

If the program is in full-screen mode, press the [Windows] button on your keyboard, right-click on the taskbar icon that represents the running program. A similar menu will appear. Select "Properties" and go from there.

It's odd. Iv got the same ver of the programming running on teh same OS windows XP pro. But one is on the desktop and its fine. The other is on the laptop. And that is that one that wont show the calling party. I tried the font thing and didnt work

Go back to the Properties dialog; select the "Layout" tab and check the window size. It should be 80 columns by 48 rows.

Tried something.
Switched from the edacs system that tracks fine on teh desktop over to laptop and it works on that
Now fleetnet wont track right on the desktop.. Soo i think its a fleetnet peoblem or a setting for motorola iv got wrong perhaps
And the signal for both is 100%

You'll need to fill in the frequency for the control channel for Fleetnet.

Locate the (red) active control channel on the display. From the main menu, select [F]ind -> [C]hannel. Type in the channel's number and press [Enter].

Tab over to the frequency field. Type in the frequency in Mhz. Type [Alt] to save.

And hwo do i delete a site and system? I tried to go into the system tab and just put in the system id number and then hit delete.. but it wont remove it

This is primarily for UHF and VHF systems. Knowing which band the control channel operates results in more accurate decoding. Normally this isn't necessary for 800 and 900 mhz systems but helps in some cases (such as poor signal quality).

And hwo do i delete a site and system?

To delete a site ... go to [F]ind -> Ste; type in the site number and press [Return]. Select [Del]ete from the menu.

To remove a whole system - you'll have to go to windows explorer and delete the files associated with that system.
