Sad to hear. Always enjoyed their website and have purchased a number of items from them over the years.

This is dreadful news. A Titanic loss to the hobby. I wish them well. They deserve a happy retirement for all they did for us. I only wish someone would carry it on.

I do apologize for bringing it up but it is a factor in the closure of many enterprises. I just think that it had been going for over 80 years and the recent relocation and then this suddenly happens.

Unfortunately I think the last relocation was the writing on the wall for Universal Radio. I did enjoy going in, but the new location was definitely not set up for foot traffic.

tis quite disappointing to see commentary & hyperbole why someone is changing something instead of wishing the kind folk the best in their new endeavour(s) whatever their future brings them...

personally, i'm going to peruse their site to see if i might help mitigate some of their on hand, in-stock merchandise...

tho perhaps not...quote: Universal will be closed for several days while we complete our move to Westerville. Online ordering will not be available during this time. unquote. w/o dates when closure began...
