There's a system being built - guessing off of Bald Peak - in the area that may be a federal system, because none of the 700Mhz frequencies come up in the ULS, nor in the Region 35 plan. I haven't had any activity on it until today, when they were doing voice and radio testing, some of the comms being TDMA.

The system itself has been around since at least April of this year. Here's the info I have so far:

I have a strong suspicion this might be part of OWIN. They might be testing a site, allowing the transmitters burn-in.

At least some of those frequencies, such as 769.66875, are state license block frequencies. Those do not require site specific licenses, as each state has a block license for the state channels.
And IIRC, Feds can not hold a license (or its equivalent) in 700 narrowband.

I stand corrected - just read the paperwork in the last buildout update, and sure enough, this is indeed part of the trunked portion of the state radio project.

This is the Chehalem Site.

I was just in Salem today and spotted this site there:

Apparently Harris must use "00A" as their default system ID. I keep running into new trunked systems in all different areas that have no connection with each other, but are showing the same system ID, 00A.

That's the Eagle Crest site just west of Salem.
