Yesterday I was listening thru and came across this frequency with aero traffic.

I searched the list for Trans Ocean Aircraft frequencies and couldn't find it.

Due to conditions, I was only able to briefly hear the controller call a UPS plane.

Does anyone know to what facility and or sector, this frequency is used for?

Just a quick addition:
The frequency 8891 kHz is used not only by Gander Radio but also by Shanwick Radio (UK), Bodö Radio (Norway) and Iceland Radio (Iceland). In rare cases, Aero Mumbai or Aero Algiers may also use this frequency (at least as received here in Germany).
Therefore, it may not necessarily have been Gander Radio that you heard there.

I hope this helps a little.

Thank you for clearing that up.
I live on the east coast of the USA.

I'm inclined to believe it's Gander.

I would bet that it is. I'm on the east coast also and Gander is an easy catch, usually booms in here. As mentioned above, they should say something like "Gander" or "Gander Radio"

You might also hear Shannon VOLMET if you tune around enough and conditions cooperate. I caught them once in the afternoon and they were coming in over S9.

Happy listening and good catch!

I live a few miles inland along the southeast US coast where 8.891 usb (Gander Radio) is a fairly common evening catch.

5.616 also Gander Radio is quite strong here and very active as well.

Most likely Gander, yes, but I've heard African air traffic and Oceania Volmets with surprisingly good signals in Florida so definitely try to listen for confirmation.
