Hi all,

While driving up and down Hwy 410, I've picked up a few unknown ID's that are definitely used by the OPP. They are:

4035
8531
8771
8627
2800 - I think this was OPP, could be wrong
3939 - same as above

If anyone has any idea what these are, I'd appreciate knowing myself !

Thanks !

Check the status bit on your scanner...

4035 is 4032 + 3 (MTO Enforcement)
8531 is 8528 + 3 (OPP 1OPS30)
8771 is 8768 + 3 (OPP 1OPS45)
8627 is 8624 + 3 (OPP 1OPS36)
2800 is MNR OPS3
3939 is 3936 + 3 (MNR Enforcement)

The +3 indicates those talkgroups are patched to another talkgroup.

would that work for all the OPP TG's if we add +3 to them we will hear them at times? I don't do a search i only scan my ID's so maybe i should add some new ID's with +3.

Ok, here we go again...from the ancient and benevolent scanont FAQ...

ID+0 Normal Talkgroup
ID+1 All call (dispatcher talking to all talkgroups)
ID+2 Emergency
ID+3 Talkgroup patch initiated
ID+4 Talkgroup patch + Emergency
ID+5 MSEL + Emergency
ID+6 Not in use
ID+7 MSEL
ID+8 DES Encryption enabled
ID+9 All call + DES
ID+10 Emergency + DES
ID+11 Talkgroup patch + DES
ID+12 Talkgroup patch + Emergency + DES
ID+13 MSEL + Emergency + DES
ID+14 Not in use
ID+15 MSEL + DES

No, status bits will not come into effect for all OPP talkgroups...only ones that are patched, multiselected or any of the other conditions listed above. As long as you have the status bit set to ON and the supergroup talkgroup (the talkgroup that the patch is initiated on) programmed in, your scanner does all the work for you and doesn't indicate any 'new' talkgroups.
