Unknown Talk Groups

This is directed to those who use scanner software like OP25, Unitrunker or SDRTrunk.

This is specifically directed at the Ohio MARCS system.

I use Unitrunker mostly because of its tracking ability.

Have any of you ever check for activity on Talk Groups that have no name or listed on RRDB?

I have found some in my area that are not encrypted and no secret codes when talking. I believe I have identified who a couple of these are.

If you have some in your area, would like to share your info? I may be able to help you find out who they are.

I have been running Unitrunker for several years, and have amassed a large list of TGs that are NOT in the DB. It seems that they are just oddball TGs that only have one or two hits, never to be seen again.
