43.04 NAC 167, RID's 1 and 9002101, enc active here in southern Guilford County again. 451.800 has been steady all week as well. 43.04 is pretty weak, I'm assuming to the south in the Uwharries.
Unable to comment on the 43 mhz traffic, however 451.800 was also noted with similiar activity (P25 enc) on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon along I-74 (US311) between Kernersville and Archdale.

451.800 $167 is active on and off. It used to be pretty heavy late at night, now it seems to be only daytime, usually early morning for a bit and then nothing. Haven't heard anything on the others in quite a while.

Brief blip of activity yesterday between 8 and 9 AM. Nothing to really add as far as pin-pointing a source of the transmission or actual user(s).

I left the scanner in my office parked on it all day yesterday. Brief traffic in the morning at 0800ish, brief traffic at lunchtime, and brief traffic around 1600. All Enc. RID's 1, 9003001, 9003002, 9041031, 3091645, 3094425, and 650000.

I'll know later on today if there was any overnight traffic.

You won't find a callsign if it was assigned by NTIA.
Which is why I asked the question. If NTIA is allocating for some reason, there is a callsign, but not in FCC database. How would the OP know "Allocated to Uncle Sam in various locations around US " unless there is a record or some obvious Fed identifier.

Example NTIA Callsign KGB 526 for a TIS station:

KGB???

Why is Uncle Sam giving Ivan callsigns to begin with? That's what I want to know! I think we got enough trouble with the Rooskies without giving them their own cutsie callsign.

Hey I really appreciate you doing that. Now the timing certainly gives the 9-5er occupation clues, strange, strange, strange. Also, I think I have mentioned this before with no response from anyone, and it's been a while since I did much fed monitoring, but isn't 309xxxx series RIDs FBI around here, or at least seen on FBI freqs? I have no clue where my notes are or I would say yea or nay more definitively.

Spacellamaman, the 309xxxx radio ID would certainly fit into the FBI radio ID pattern, but it does not guarantee that someone else can't use it.

It's not exclusive to that agency or user.

A brief blip was heard yesterday morning around 8:30 - 9:00. I was mobile going down US220 (I-73) in Asheboro, at US64. I think I saw a 900 and a 904 RID.

I can't help but wonder if something is stirring. Heard a brief blip of activity on 451.800, this morning along NC49 between US220 and NC109, in the Southwest Corner of Randolph County. Decided to head down to the Eldorado Outpost as there is an Off-Road - Overland event happening in the next few weeks. Anyway, 451.800 was noticeable but faint. Same NACS and RIDs as in the previous post. However, 154.5275 did pop up several times, didn't catch the IDs but I recall seeing NAC 167. Strongest was along NC109 about 4 or so miles South of NC49, within the site of Buck Mtn.

Interesting and I know VHF and UHF can do some amazing things from a propagation standpoint. But we are talking about hearing basically from the extreme western edge of NC to almost the geographical center of NC.
