Are there any "special" frequencies to monitor in addition to the Myrtle Beach,No.Myrtle Beach and Horry Co. frequencies?

you should use the search mode.The State Constables use a different frequencies.Probably on 150_160 range.

If I remember the story correctly, the North Myrtle Beach site will be upgraded and become part of the Horry County simulcast system in the next couple of weeks. I believe that Myrtle Beach's long term plans are the same.

In fact, there is a pending ammendment to the license for Horry County's trunked system to add an additional simulcast site in North Myrtle Beach, at the same location as NMB's current transmitter.

This would support the premise that NMB's system will be assimilated into Horry Co.'s system. NMB has had assinged talkgroups on Horry Co.'s system for some time.

I'd be surprised if Myrtle Beach would do the same so soon after creating their own system and moving away from Horry Co.'s system.

According to a submission that has been processed today, the North Myrtle Beach system is now off the air, and the site has been converted into a simulcast site of the Horry County TRS. New talkgroups for NMB FD and PD have been posted to the Horry Co. TRS.

The NMB system will be depreciated in the database in a few weeks, so grab that (outdated) information now if you want it.

NMB is now on the Horry County System. They are using the new numbers that are posted in this data base. Your reception should much greater as I can monitor them from 35 miles inland now.
