Good Morning!
It's been awhile. First, I'm better. No, I don't need sinus surgery, but I do have meds that keep my allergies under control better now.
As I type, I'm on my old P3/1.2 gig computer using WIN 2000 Pro.
() A young ham friend of mine came by and got it running again.
However,
my wife's computer that I was using to look up all the Part 90 - Public Safety - Conventional frequencies on, crashed. Just my LUCK. So, it's time to start over. Nick, is supposed to come over soon and get the data off my 80 gig "D" drive and once it's in good shape, it will become my Slackware/Unbuntu drive and I'll use Open Office to keep the frequency data on. Running Linux should prevent me losing the data again. The only thing I'll use Winblow$ for is to run Ham Radio DeLuxe to control the Icom 706MkII-G rig and I can use Digipan to run HF, VHF, & UHF PSK-31.
Last Saturday, my Mother-in-Law passed away quietly and peacefully. She's been sick the last 9 months, having had two brain strokes and other complications. We will certainly miss her, but she hasn't really been here the past two months. But rather than mourn, we REJOICE in the LIFE she lead and in being a warm, kind, loving Christian lady.
In knowing of our location here in Shreveport, NOT MR. ROGER's Neighborhood, she willed the house and her car to us. We will be moving at some point out of Shreveport and into the Parish (a secret location, LOL!). We will be under the protection of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Department, a LOT better, LOL!
SO, now you know what's going on and I'm back. As time permits, I'll still be working on the Part 90 spreadsheet readying it to send it to who wants it.
GOD BLESS,
Respectfully submitted,
73,
Don/KA5LQJ
