Does anyone have an update when Kent County will be making the transition?

Thanks,

Yes as long as the testing they have been doing goes well and the state system recognizes the simulcast cell, the transition will be pretty quick. They do have to reprogram existing APX radios in the field and program any new radios. Programming might be the hold up in the next few weeks.

side note at the time of typing this on Sunday 3:30pm I am not able to connect to the new site.

They may also have to conduct user training, which can take a few weeks as well. Plus distribution/installation of user radios. All of these things could (and should) be done concurrently, but an unexpected hiccup in any of these processes can throw a wrench in the works.

Simulcast system appears to have been disabled for the time being. Waiting for agreements to be signed and system to be "adopted" in the MPSCS system.
