Im a newbie(as far as having an account) but have been using resources for a while. Got a question on Gwinnett P-25. I have freqs programmed in and only have FD talkgroups programmed. Got set to scan only(not search) but still getting police traffic on my Bearcat 996t. any hint as to why police traffic coming in? Thanks

Have you programmed in the P-25 frequencies?? They are different than the analog system. 855.4875 is the CC for the P-25 system. I believe you have to program the 996 as P-25 for it to receive digital. I could be wrong. Don't own a newer Uniden digital scanner. The 96 doesn't need to be set to P-25. It does digital automatically.

I haven't seen those active yet, but I did notice that 10621 was already posted as TAC 8, I was kinda guessing it would be by that way the channels were lining up. I have 10603 and 10605 encrypted so could these be EMS talkgroups? Maybe 10601 could be EMS too.

10603 is FD dispatch. It is in the clear. Been listening to that since a week ago Sunday. Gordon found that 10621 was Tac-8. Been a lot of activity on FD lately. Had a big fire in the neighborhood this morning off of PIB. Batt 3 and 4 where on scene. It lasted from abt 5am to a little after 9:30am. Trailer Park and lots of woods. Smoke was heavy when I was driving my wife to her vanpool.
