update on WSP radio switch

Static In Olympia Over Wash. State Patrol Radio Upgrade | KPLU News for Seattle and the Northwest

From what I've read WSP already used the ICN or whatever it's called up by the border near Bellingham. Are they dispatched on it as well? I don't see why they just didn't go to conventional P25 digital with their repeaters, I think their current radio system works quite well.

As I was reading the articles from the links I clicked on one of the advertisements and it was for an iphone/android app called pulse point. The app notifies nearby CPR trained bystanders of the need for CPR. Apparently the pulsepoint.org is affiliated with RadioReference.com. Pulsepoint gets its radio feeds from RR. Kudos to RR for partnering with Pulsepoint in a worthwhile endeavor. The only drawback at this time is the app only covers the City of San Jose and the San Ramon Valley. It would be great to see this service spread to all parts of the country.
