LOL What do your room mates think of all this Radio stuff, they are probably busy txting all day to have a clue what all that stuff is.

Very nice. When I was in college, I was lucky enough that my roomie was also into scanners and radios. We both had a scanner running almost 24/7, as well as a CB. Both our scanners were old school analog's (PRO-2052, and an BC350-A), as the world had not turned yet into the digital and narrowband universe it is now. When I go back to college this fall, I will have an PRO-96 with me (maybe 2 if I live on campus) as almost everything here now is either P25, or about to go P25.

I used to listen to the University police and the maintenance staff all the time when I was in college. Nice to know when my dorm had a fire drill scheduled :)
At the time they were simplex VHF so I had a mag mount out my window stuck on a hinge.
