Did a little updating to my desk at the house after seeing Rich W9JIG do his racks, I could not afford to do what he did but I did get a second 3 scanner rack for my radios and new BCD996XT.
The desk is a Hon desk I bought at a scratch and dent sale 10-12 years ago, The computer is a Dell tower I have had for long time running dual 21" Dell widescreen monitors.
The left rack has my VHF and UHF CDM1250 radios and in the top is a BCD996XT I picked up a few weeks ago at the local Radio Shack for $99.00! that I am using as my general scanner right now for what ever strikes my mood. The right rack has another older BCD996XT that scans the TVRCS Chattanooga P25 simulcast. The top BCT15X right below it scans the older Chattanooga/Hamilton County system. Things are locked out in each so they do not duplicate things that are on both systems. The bottom BCT15X is mainly for area conventional scanning. On top of the right rack is a Icom ID880H Dstar radio which is on the W4PL system in Chattanooga most of the time, The Kenwood TMV71A under it is my general use radio. I am having a hard time managing the two microphone cords for the amateur radios.
The BCD996XT on the left and the two BCt15X scanners are connected to a older ST2 antenna in the attic using a Stridesberg 4 port multicoupler. The other BCD996XT has a tuned 800 Mhz rubber duck portable on a right angle BNC to avoid P25 simulcast issues. the Kenwood TMV71A is connected to a Comet GP-3 in the attic. The Icom ID880H is connected to a comet B-10 mounted to a NMO drilled in a 16 inch pizza pan in the garage. And the UHF CDM1250 is connected to a Sinclair UHF antenna in the attic. The VHF CDM1250 to a homemade J pole in the attic.
