The Thunderbirds will be performing in South Carolina next weekend (May 8-9). Does anyone have the new frequencies for the current show season? Thanks.

The March 2010 MT has a list of frequencies; unfortunately the online version hasn't been published yet. Hopefully that will be soon - this question, along with the corollary 'where are the updated Blue Angel frequencies for 2010' would quickly be answered.

You could use the search function to pull out all the TBird reports from the various forums, and/or go to the MT milcom blog and search that. The 2009 online version is on the MT website, and that's where I would start

No luck finding the 2010 freqs. I would purchase the March MT at the newsstand but I'm sure it's sold out or replaced with the April edition by now. 'Still have a few days, hopefully someone will post this, or MT will post the online version. Thanks.

I would suggest these - they're from July 2009, but usually don't change much.

141.075 V01 - diamond
139.800 V02
235.250 solos
216.725 (FM) PA feed
413.275 (FM) maintenance and FOD sweeps, etc. - ground activity

Use the search here on the website. I've seen some 2010 ones posted somewhere here.

Thanks guys. Your posted frequencies, plus the MTAirshows2010 attachment is exactly what I needed. The wx for this weekend's shows looks outstanding!

Did anybody have any luck with freqs today? I'm gonna venture down that way tomorrow and I'd like to get anything confirmed in that I can.

Thanks!

I can confirm the CAP,Thunderbirds,PA, and Maint were all 100% on from the Uniden file. I missed the golden knights so can not confirm on them.

Thanks again for the great file guy worked like a charm!

Confirmed

With the help of the Uniden file (awesome job!) I was able to confirm:

413.2750 431 DPL T-Birds MX
141.0750 CSQ T-Birds Diamond
235.2500 CSQ T-Birds Solos
123.4750 CSQ Golden Knights (Wind Report / Jumper Debrief to Jump Master)
123.1500 CSQ Intercom
121.0500 CSQ Air Boss
148.1375 203.5 PL CAP Cadets

CAP cadets were talking my ears off with the ISR channels, I had to lock them out after 5 minutes.

I was able to import the UASD into FreeScan successfully. You will need to modify the alpha tags, I think, to be more meaningful, but it does seem to work.

This means that this file is compatible for all the Uniden DMA driven scanners, however the UHF milair stuff isn't available for all of them (notably the SC230, BC246), so you would need to drop those out of the file if you're loading for these radios. I'm unsure if you can change the mode on these radios (some of the VHF hi freqs are loading as 'AM' mode) so that too would need to be checked.

Since the wiki can store files in .zip format, we could accum files for other scanners there - if someone wants to build a page to link them. That way if this thread gets lost, the files are still there.

Contact Bob W9RXR, Ben or myself via PM if you're interested in doing this. It might be useful to have a naming standard (say the date/time the file is created). It's possible to add a comment in the wiki page so that folks know what scanner(s) and software the file is for - not everyone knows what a .usd file is for, after all

2010 Thunderbirds Freq

Heard entire aerial portion of the T-birds show on their Simulcast Freq FM 216.9775 during their Eglin AFB show April 10-11.

I've taken the UASD file mshadwick so kindly put together and made an Excel Workbook out of it (you will need to unzip it first using WinZip, 7zFM, WinRAR or any of the other excellent zip utilities - don't depend on Explorer, as it can corrupt files...). With a little work, you should be able to extract what you need, then create a .csv file that can be imported.

This file should be usable as a source for radios like the BC250, BC785, BC796, BC296, BC898, and with some adjustments, maybe the PRO-97/2055, depending on what program you are using. It's much simpler than the UASD, deliberately so - this way it's not so hard to pull out the columns you need.

How about someone putting something together for the object oriented scanners?

Enjoy 73 Mike
