Updates for Pro-96?

What is the latest firmware version for the PRO-96? Any more updates coming? Or is this thing done.

Looks like it's done. There's a new RS digital handheld on the way and The Pro-96 will most likely retire then.

I've heard the new scanner, the Pro-106, will be in stores October, give or take.

It's the same as the PSR500 which is available today.

There's still stock out there being sold but they aren't being manufactured, hence discontinued. There will be no more updates, that I'm sure of.

The Pro-96 and Pro-2096 will soon go discontinued. Mainly because they lack the capability to trunk 700Mhz.

I think it will cost $599

No, because the same model (with more accessories) will be available elsewhere for less. And I think the Pro96 introduced at $499.

It'd be insane to think they'll price it much (if at all) higher than $500.
