Just curious if you ever heard back from T-Mobile on this after opening a ticket with the FCC? Was there ever any resolution?
T-Mobile stated the their equipment is not compatible to use FTP. I have kept the complaint open with the FCC but T-Mobile will not open the port.

My curiosity is up...
Seen in one post here a member used an AT&T hot spot to upgrade...
My home ISP is not a problem though...

Wonder if anybody tried it with Verizon...
I know my cell phone plan gives me 25 Gig (Per month of 5G Ultra) of hot spot capability before throttling back...
Would be something to fall back on maybe, if I had to...

I regularly use Verizon broadband without difficulty.

I also filed a complaint with the FCC over this issue.

I wouldn't expect the FCC to do anything. T-mobile owns their own endpoints and are under no obligation to change what they believe to be their "best practices."

Yes, Verizon handles FTP just fine.

What's to complain about? Have you ever seen T-mobile advertise or state in their contract that every possible file transfer protocol is usable?

You know, there are some places in the US where T-Mobile has no service... Is that an FCC issue too?

Actually nothing to get worried or my panties in a wad about. I have AT@T as my wireless mobile service and will always be able to resort to it (or someone elses wifi to do my Sentinel updates.)

But at $50/month, I'll keep my T Mobile fixed internet with download speeds of around 220 Mbps and faster and unlimited data.

And: T-Mobile pays $304M to fill in holes in its 2.5 GHz spectrum.

Plus: T Mobile's partnering with Musk's Starlink will fill in all the holes on the continental US, offshore and beyond for messaging and voice service.

I had been having the same issue... uploaded Proton VPN and once the VPN was running I was able to update firmware and Sentinel. I don't get it but it worked. I then tried shutting the VPN down and back to getting the error again! Weird! I use T-mobile but it wouldn't work using Verizon hot spot either...

I'm using BCDx36HP Sentinel Ver 2.02, while trying to update the database I get the following error. "229 Extended Passive Mode Entered (|||2645|). Please advise.

No, I don't have another method. I guess I'll contact T-Mobile and let them know I have an issue. Thanks for your help.
I have T-Mobile and same error, I installed surf shark VPN and downloaded FTP fine. Just did this minutes ago.
