Updating Freescan ?

I looked at the scannow site and the wiki and couldn't find updating instructions. Should I remove the old app first or just run the new installer? thanks

The two can run side by side; no need to remove the older version. That said I did anyway after I installed the new, as Assaf will no longer provide support for it.

That's correct - when Assaf issues .8a, he will probably send that out as a 'hotfix'. I would expect that the method of applying it won't change a lot from what's already documented. 73 Mike

According to Assaf, going from 0.8 to 0.8a (which is now available) is best done by uninstalling 0.8 first. Apparently the hotfix method which was used in the past will not be used for updates to versions beginning with 0.8.
