I am updating the state for narrowbanding status, submissions, database formatting, and user friendliness. Any tone changes due to narrowbanding, pending moves to TRBO, NXDN, MSWIN, etc... Please submit the data as soon as you find it.

I don't know all the correct info, but I do know that a good bit of the info regarding the Tunica casino's isn't accurate... for example, some of the casino's listed haven't even existed there for a number of years, like IoC and Circus Circus. Others, like the current Harrah's for example, used to be The Grand, so not sure if they're currently using the Freqs they had when they were The Grand, or they're using the older freqs from the earlier Harrah's, etc...

Sheraton has changed their name to Roadhouse Casino, so I know that much is inaccurate in the database.

I don't get to go to that area enough to be able to get much helpful freq, tone, etc... info, but if there is anyone in that area that could, there is a good bit there that is very outdated and erroneous.

Not to mention that ALL of the Tunica County Casino's had to redo thier hotels etc from all the flooding, so its basically like they just started operations up. I can start from a basic listing of FCC licenses, and just like the first time, visitors to them that are users of this site can confirm/deny, and submit new data as to tones TRBO/NXDN etc. Business Data always ends up being the "red headed step-child" as far as submissions go just because its usually very boring to listen to them. Usually we get the Public Safety, then HAM, then Business subs, with FED/MilAir inbetween there. The exception being Utilities, especially Electric Power Suppliers, as a LOT of folks listen to them in rural areas to find out when the power is comming back on lol. They really hate hearing the same crud from WLBT, WAPT etc.... "Represenatives from *insert power company here* say they should have power restored in a matter of hours/days...." Of course in MS now, Entergy is just about the only one left that has not gone TRBO/NexEDGE yet.

In the area I'm in, it's not uncommon at all for the power to be off after a thunderstorm, and it doesn't have to be a particularly severe one either! So I do my fair share of monitoring the power company too, in order to see how long I'm gonna have to sit in the dark. lol

What little bit of traffic I have heard from monitoring the casinos when I do get to visit has been pretty boring, as you mentioned, and difficult to tell which one it is coming from just by listening, as they don't say much in the way of identifying which Casino it is. Hotel Housekeeping isn't the most exciting thing in the world to listen to!!! lol Most of my monitoring when I am in that area is the Tunica County TRS, the Desoto County TRS and of course the digital traffic of the Memphis/Shelby system.

Read my post more carefully Mike. I am just putting the narrowband status up, pulling data into more correct formats, and setting it into user friendly format. The second part was outright requesting any data users have as to the tone changes that a LOT of agencies are doing due to the narrowbanding. As well as requests for info from users about any pending changes to digital be it NXDN, TRBO, or MSWIN etc. Also cleaning up a lot of things that didn't get cleaned up before. Adding the TRS notations, adding GPS coordinates, etc. Adding new FCC licenses where MANY have expired over the last couple of years.

...and yet you prove my point almost daily now

You need to eliminate all the multiple copies of the same thing too
Let the SEMAAD stuff stay on the State Level, and eliminate the redundant copies on the county entries. Just put a note in them to see the State Level entry.

155.16 and 155.34 are common interop freqs. and as such are in the MS Common/Shared section and don't need to be repeated all over the place.

Same with all the VLAW, MED channels, etc. All those are NATIONAL freqs and as such are in the NATIONAL DB.

.

I think SEMAAD should be deleted totally. They don't have radios, ambulances, or helicopters. Its just a group of board members that meet regularly and contract out Air Ambulance service. AAA Ambulance used to have the contract for air service, now the contract was giving to Baptist LifeFlight. The Frequencies listed for SEMAAD belong to AAA Ambulance. I think AAA Ambulance Service should be listed and since it is not statewide, it should be listed in the counties they serve. In most cases, they have a separate repeater and frequency for each county they serve. Each county should have just the frequencies that AAA uses in that county.

They are still using all the frequencies listed, 155.160 is Forrest General Hospital Wheelchair Vans that AAA operates. They did away with Transcare and painted all their wheelchair vans FGH colors and operates them. 155.235 still in use occasionally, along with 155.280.
